Have you ever wondered or asked whether Jesus is the “only way” of salvation? It’s a fair question because millions of people consider it to be life’s most important question. But rather than I answer it—one whose beliefs are firmly rooted in Christ—I invite you to take the One-Minute Challenge and answer it. I want you to surrender to your conscience and allow the deepest part of the real you to present the answer. One minute is all I ask to help you determine whether Jesus is the Son of God and the “only way” to Heaven. Let me explain.
The conscience operates like a compass that determines which direction is right and which is wrong. Most importantly, your conscience helps you determine the truth about morality and spirituality. Thus, to ignore your conscience is to ignore God’s testimony of Himself within you. That’s why I’m inviting you to discover what your conscience says about Jesus.
During this coming minute, I’m going to ask you to verbally renounce Jesus! Perhaps that sounds alarming, but if you are not a Christian and want to know the truth about Christ, with no one forcing Him toward you, then take this brief challenge. If you can take 60 seconds to reject Christ and not sense the Holy Spirit piercing your conscience; if you have no compulsion to renounce that thought; if you cannot feel the least bit of sacrilege then Jesus is not for you.
Are you ready to test your conscience? If so, then verbally renounce God with these words:
Now, pause and wait in silence for the remaining 30 seconds. Listen.
For those that honestly took that challenge, could you deny and insult Jesus without a hint of doubt? Could you say unreservedly that His death on the Cross was a failed act toward humanity with no eternal value? Or did your conscience disagree? Did you sense there was even something blasphemous about what you said? Unless your conscience is completely hardened it wouldn’t let you accept that indictment against Christ. But I believe your conscience has spoken. It did its work and took its stand. And now, with the One-Minute Challenge having ticked away, how will you respond? Will you accept Christ Jesus as your Savior? It’s your conscience that’s asking you to acknowledge His love and pardon from the Cross. If you will ask Him to forgive your sins you will know that His promise still stands: “If any man comes unto Me, I will never turn him away” (John 6:37).
